The Super Service Auto Repair Journey
The story behind Super Service Auto Repair Shops is one of relentless commitment, deep automotive expertise, and a shared vision to redefine what quality auto repair looks like. Founders Andrew Bray and Bob Cornwall came from two very different paths, but both were driven by a common goal—to build a network of auto repair shops known for honesty, integrity, and exceptional service.
From Grease to Greatness: Andrew Bray’s Automotive Roots
Andrew Bray’s connection to cars began at a young age, working hands-on in a small local auto repair shop. He developed a passion for diagnostics, repairs, and helping people stay safely on the road. As life evolved, Andrew knew he had to expand his skills to support his growing family. This drive led him to a professional shop environment where he met Bob Cornwall—and where Andrew’s talent truly took off.
He went on to earn his ASE Master Technician certification, ultimately achieving the prestigious World Class Technician status—an elite designation held by fewer than 2,000 of the over 250,000 ASE-certified mechanics worldwide. His technical expertise and leadership would later become a cornerstone of Super Service’s repair excellence.
Bob Cornwall: The Heart Behind the Guest Experience
Bob’s background wasn’t initially in turning wrenches. Starting in automotive sales and service advising, he gained firsthand insight into what separates great auto repair centers from the rest. Managing and advising thousands of customers over the years gave Bob a clear sense of what people truly value: transparency, professionalism, and a customer-first mindset.
Bob created the now-famous “Raving Fan Checklist” to ensure every client leaves not just satisfied, but genuinely excited to recommend Super Service to friends and family. His focus has always been on building trustworthy auto repair shops that feel like a breath of fresh air for vehicle owners.
Building the Super Service Brand
In 2016, Andrew and Bob took over Placentia Super Service, originally founded by Ralph “Buddy” Dubois in 1978. What started as a modest operation handling 45 vehicles per month rapidly grew under their leadership to servicing over 100 vehicles per week. Their growth was powered by a mix of advanced repair procedures, community involvement, and a laser focus on guest satisfaction.
Now with four locations—Placentia, Aliso Viejo, Pomona Valley, and Corona Hills—Super Service Auto Shops continue to set the standard for full-service automotive repair and maintenance.

Our Super Service Story
Andrew Bray and Bob Cornwall's journey to creating Super Service Auto Shops is a
story of passion, dedication, and a shared vision for excellence in the automotive
industry.
Andrew Bray grew up deeply embedded in the mechanical side of the automotive world.
His journey began in a small auto shop, where he developed a passion for fixing cars.
As his family grew, Andrew knew he needed to expand his skills and find a stable job.
This led him to a shop where Bob Cornwall worked, and it was here that Andrew's
potential was fully realized. He earned his ASE Master Tech certification and saw
firsthand what efficiency and quality in an auto repair shop looked like. Eventually
achieving World Class technician status, an elite certification by ASE for automotive
professionals. Out of 250,000 mechanics worldwide who are certified, only about 2000
have earned World Class status.
Bob Cornwall's path was different but equally impactful. Starting in outside sales, Bob
met thousands of shop owners and gained invaluable insights into what made a shop
successful. Transitioning to a service advisor and general manager, Bob was mentored
in the importance of quality service and customer care. He even created the Raving
Fan Checklist to ensure guests were not just satisfied, but so delighted they would rave
about their experience to others.
In 2016, Andrew and Bob joined forces to run Placentia Super Service, building on a
legacy started by Ralph “Buddy” Dubois in 1978. They turned it into a thriving business,

robust systems and procedures.

return for the same issue repeatedly. Andrew and Bob also prioritize their internal team, providing a well-equipped break

supportive and collaborative work environment. Bob's vision has always been to create a trustworthy auto repair shop where every
customer, whether a newly licensed teen or a retired driver, feels secure knowing they’ll
be treated fairly and with integrity. Andrew's passion lies in teaching and coaching
young technicians, showing them the right way to succeed in auto repair without
compromising integrity.
Together, Andrew Bray and Bob Cornwall have built a legacy of automotive excellence,

environment. This legacy now extends to 4 shops. From Placentia Super Service to
